Hello Gamers,
Here is the Information Guide for all the advanced Features Oneplay now supports regarding stream settings of your games and How can you achieve best out of it.
1.Resolution : Now OnePlay supports native resolution of your monitor screen for best user experience just change the required resolution and enjoy your games. However you can select any other resolution as well provided its supported by your Subscription Plan.
Optimal Resolution Settings : 1920 x 1080 or 1280 x 720
- FPS : Now Oneplay supports upto 240fps which is available on selected games for now. If this settings are causing issues and screen tears or flickering in your stream we suggest it to set it to native supported FPS for best results.
Optimal FPS settings : 60 or 120 fps
- Bitrate : This setting defines your stream bitrate, we support upto 50mbps for now but we suggest to keep bitrate at 50%-70% of your current connection speed for optimal results. If you experience “Slow connection” popup then exit stream and reduce your bitrate for better experience.
Optimal Bitrate settings : 10, 20 or 30 mbps
-
V-sync : This setting will synchronize stream’s framerate with your current monitor framerate. Enable this setting if you are experiencing screen tearing or frame skips during your gameplay.
-
Frame Pacing : Even if after V-sync if you are facing stutters and tearing in stream then please Enable this setting as it will slow down frames to match V-sync values according to your monitor.
ADVANCED GAME OPTIONS
- Audio Type :
-
Select Stereo if you are playing on dual speaker setup
-
Select 5.1 if you have surround Sound setup
- Stream Codec : Please keep it on Auto by default
-
HEVC : High Efficiency Video Codec, Use this codec if you are streaming on high end system as it will enhance your gameplay experience and supports higher resolutions upto 4K compared to H.264
-
H.264 : Advanced Video Codec, This is native video codec and supports broad range of devices and older devices as well, Use this setting if your device is unable to handle HEVC codec stream and stream is crashing at times.
-
AV1: AOMedia Video 1 codec, is most advanced codec yet which uses minimum bandwidth and provides maximum stream quality, but this is supported on limited devices and still in beta phase. Please switch to other codecs if you face stream crashes and stutters in game.
- Video Decoder: Please keep it on Auto by default
-
Software : This decoder uses system CPU to process Video data and is used in devices which doesn’t have dedicated Video card or memory to process the data, natively used in low end devices and older devices
-
Hardware : This decoder uses Dedicated Video Chip in system to process Video data, use this if you have high end system to stream.
-
Server Region : Please keep this setting on auto if your region is not mentioned
This option is used to Set Server region according to your location.
More servers will be added soon. -
Use Local Cursor : This option will enable host system cursor on stream
-
PIP Mode: This option is for android systems and will enable Picture-In-Picture Mode for the Stream and it can be visible as an overlay over other application.
-
Advanced Display Mode: This option will enhance your overall streaming experience on Oneplay even on low bitrate settings. Just enable this option and keep everything on “auto” for more immersive experience.
Options below will only work if Advanced Display Mode is Enabled
- FEC : Percentage of error correcting packets per data packet in each video frame.
more fec means more packet correction in case of extreme packet drop but increase bandwith and might be little latency
keeping a number of 20-28 is idle or default
Increase FEC by 5-10 each time if you are experiencing extreme packet drops
-
QP: Higher value means more compression, but less quality.
Some devices don’t support Constant Bit Rate. For those devices, QP is used instead
So if your stream is lagging or there are frame drops, Adjust QP values to get optimal stream experience. -
Zoom: Useful for Onespace and Oneplay users who play on high resolution in low resolution monitors. For example if native resolution 1366 x 768 and user is playing in 1920 x 1080, then very small texts are visible in stream. Zoom resolves this issue.
Keep 100% for default, 125-150% will increase the zoom of desktop.
-
Preset : Basically this is Nvida NVENC (NVencoder) preset which can gradually increase quality of your stream choose P1 for FPS games and P4 for story based games, if you want then use P7 for the best stream quality ever.
Here : P1 is the fastest and P7 is the slowest in terms of video encode. -
Mode : Enable two-pass mode in Nvidia NVENC encoder. This allows to detect more motion vectors, better distribute bitrate across the frame and more strictly adhere to bitrate limits. Disabling it is not recommended since this can lead to occasional bitrate overshoot and subsequent packet loss.
For Optimal experience set it to Quarter Resolution or Full Resolution
- Use CABAC: This is a lossless compression technique and should be turned on by default to avoid any lags or stutters in stream. CABAC is useful on old devices and lower spec devices.
Hope the above guide serves its purpose. If still there are queries regarding streaming settings on OnePlay, Please open a support ticket and Support Team will assist you on the same.
Happy Gaming !!
